Commission - After Midnight Dresser - Not For Sale
This dresser was painted in Carbon Black and After Midnight for an elegant and sophisticated update for our customer.
With dents, scratches and broken pieces, this beautifully shaped dresser needed some love. We decided to paint it in a base of Carbon Black finished with After Midnight, our almost black in the Metallic Alchemy range. This updated the dresser while highlighting its beautiful curves.
Technique:
We painted two coats of Carbon Black chalk paint for full coverage. We wanted a super smooth finish, so rolled with our smooth roller, cutting in with our angled detail brush.
Once dry, we mixed our After Midnight concentrate with the Illuminator for full strength. We applied two coats using our spalter brush.
As this dresser is going to be used in a dining room, we added a top coat of Satin lacquer to the top only to give extra durability. We brushed this on with our flat brush.
