This classic round side table has been given a soft and delicate transformation using Just A Hint premium chalk paint, a wonderfully soft pink, Efex mouldings, the My Favourite Dahlia furniture transfer, and a touch of dark wax and gold gilding wax.
A beautiful table that we can imagine in many settings, especially in a young girls playroom.
Technique:
We first applied the Efex trim moulding to the outer rim of the table using Ados F2 contact adhesive.
Once dry, we painted in Just A Hint using our round brush and angled detail brush. We painted for full coverage, lightly sanding the top in between coats with 240 grit sandpaper.
Once fully dry, we applied the My Favourite Dahlia rub-on furniture transfer to the top for an asymmetrical finish.
We then sealed the whole piece with clear wax using our natural bristle brush and wiping the excess off with our lint free rag, including sealing over our applied transfer.
Using our small dabbing brush, we then applied a touch of dark wax to our added moulding to create some depth and shadows, brushing it on and wiping the excess off with a rag.
Lastly, we applied a touch of Forgotten Gold glide to the moulding to highlight it and bring a touch of glamour.
