Use different greys to create a soft and restful finish.

This paint recipe is perfect for bedroom furniture, creating a soft and neutral base for your linens and soft furnishings.

What you will need:

1 - Choose sections to paint your Parisian Grey and Rivers Peak chalk paints. You may want to use the darker Rivers Peak around the edges and feet, bringing the lighter Parisian Grey into the centre.

Use your round synthetic brush and brush in large crosses for subtle texture. Keep the edges between the two colours wet to blend them together. Spray with a touch of water if needed to help them blend.

2 - Make a coloured wax using Crisp White chalk paint and Clear wax, using a 1:1 ratio. Using your natural bristle brush, brush out all over the paint finish in a thin layer, gently wipe excess off with a clean rag.

3 - Make a coloured wax using Clubhouse Grey chalk paint and Clear wax, using a 1:1 ratio. Using your natural bristle brush, brush onto selected areas to create shadows and depth (e.g. in carved details, around handles etc.), gently wipe excess off with a clean rag. Use fine steel wool to blend waxes if needed.

4 - Optional: Detail the edges with Silver gilding wax, using either a finger or a detail brush.
